Apparently good genes run in the Moss family. It also seems that the Brits like to focus on the sister not getting married at the wedding. Sure, people were buzzing about Kate Moss in her gorgeous Galliano dress. But one of the things people were most interested in was her younger sister.
After photos emerged this past weekend from Moss’ wedding of her 13-year-old half-sister and bridesmaid Charlotte, she’s being heralded as the next Kate Moss.
Charlotte, who goes by “Lottie,” was one of Moss’s 15 bridesmaids. Little Lottie managed to standout from Moss’s impressive fleet of bridesmaids, who were all clad in matching white Bonpoint dresses and floral wreaths in their hair. Vogue UK described her as a “willowy blond” while London’s Evening Standard said she looked “every bit the English rose.”
At only 13, Lottie has already caught the eye of several modeling agencies who say she is showing signs of following in her older sister's footsteps. She's willowy, with a pretty face, just like Kate. Although Lottie's look is more traditional, with classic English Rose features, she's definitely got the connections to head in that direction if she so desired—she is a Moss afterall. Her mum is holding back on allowing her to start until she reaches 14, the same age Kate made her debut in the industry, but we have a feeling we'll be seeing her sooner, rather than later.
The Standard points out that Moss was just a year older than Lottie is now when she was discovered by agent Sarah Doukas in JFK. And agent Carole White, who is best known for discovering Naomi Campbell, told the Standard that Lottie “has wonderful features and could definitely make a model.” But for now, despite the fact that Lottie’s done some modeling for her dad’s vintage boutique, Lottie’s “mum” thinks she’s too young. “When she is old enough it will be her decision,” Lottie’s mother Inger (She’s Kate’s dad Peter Moss’ second wife) told the paper.
Whether Lottie makes that decision remains to be seen. But now everyone will be watching…
