Chelsea defender David Luiz has admitted he cannot wait to pull on a Chelsea shirt again after enduring a frustrating spell on the sidelines. The Brazilian has yet to play a competitive game for new Blues boss Andre Villas-boas due to a thigh injury but looks set to start for Brazil against Ghana on Monday after returning to full training.
And Luiz, 24, believes he will be ready to face Sunderland when the Premier League resumes next weekend. He stated, ‘I didn’t want to get injured, but these things happen in football. I’m missing playing in the Premier League so much and I hope I get to play again very soon’. Chelsea are two points adrift of Manchester United and Manchester City after three games but Luiz is determined to claim his first Premier League title this season.
